Darjeeling Organic


This is a lovely blend of first and second flush Darjeeling tea. What’s a “flush”? Darjeeling, India sits in the high foothills of the Himalaya. It gets cold enough there that tea stops growing in the Fall. In the Spring, the first growth is called the First Flush. First Flush Darjeelings are prized the world over – they are very, very light in color but can have exquisite flavor that varies with every day’s harvest. The 2nd flush is slightly darker and bolder.

Steeping Directions

  • 1 Use 15oz filtered water per sachet.
  • 2 Pour fulling boiling water over sachet.
  • 3 Steep 4-5 minutes.

Brewing Tips

  • Darjeeling makes a great late morning / afternoon tea.
  • Try adding lemon to your cuppa’ Darjeeling.
  • Don’t let your tea snob friends know if you add milk and sugar to this refined tea.
  • This is a great tea to pair with dessert, if you can handle a bit of caffeine.
  • As this tea cools, it’s just as yummy. Try it at room temp or iced.
